Thanksgiving Meal Distribution
At Thanksgiving time, we work with the Broward Sheriff's Office and the Change Me Foundation to distribute meals to more than 300 families and individuals.

Christmas: "Shop with a Cop"
During Christmas, we partner with the Broward Sheriff's Office in Deerfield Beach for their annual "Shop with a Cop" experience. Children in our community can shop for a Christmas present with a local BSO officer while parents enjoy refreshments and conversation with our law enforcement professionals.

Community Gatherings
Deerfield Beach Community Cares is an active partner in the local community and Broward County!
In addition to hosting our own series of educational forums and community gatherings, we participate in town hall meetings hosted by local partners like the PTA/PTSA of Broward County and the Broward County Public Schools. We also attend monthly meetings of the Educational Advisory Board in the City of Deerfield Beach.

Back to School Block Party
In 2022 and 2023, DBCC participated in the City of Deerfield Beach's Back to School Block Party, giving away colored pencils to students starting school in Deerfield Beach.

Town Hall Meetings
One of the core components of DBCC's work is to bridge communication between local residents and community providers on issues that matter. We are proud to host annual town halls on various topics related to the arc of wellness, including depression, anxiety, and financial wellness. We depend on and appreciate all of the expert panelists who take the time to participate in these important events.
